The TDS Objective

Our Background

Established in 1989, ‘The Dining Society’ (TDS) is a private members club dedicated to providing training opportunities for young novices to develop their professional and communication skills in an authentic hospitality setting.

Interweaving among member institutions of the Vocational Training Council (VTC), namely the Hotel and Tourism Institute (HTI), Chinese Culinary Institute (CCI) and International Culinary Institute (ICI), TDS serves as a platform realizing the goal of training high caliber hospitality personnel and chefs-to-be in a real life context.

TDS offers Chinese and international fine dining experiences for members while trainees commit themselves to comprehensive culinary and hospitality training.

Budding Professionals

Under instructors’ guidance, our trainees engage in versatile roles while operating the training restaurants. For instance, Front Office addresses incoming reservation and inquiry calls, Housekeeping creates comfortable and pleasant dining and club environments, Food Preparation engrosses in making culinary delights and F&B caters to members’ dining need on site.
